In 2019, Native Edge transformed this East Grand Rapids property from a waterlogged, unusable lawn into a thriving wildlife oasis, enjoyed by both the homeowners and their natural visitors. Three strategically placed rain gardens now channel stormwater away from the primary lawn, allowing it to be absorbed naturally with the help of hardy native plants. The landscape features sweeping drifts of native perennials, offering vibrant color and rich texture year-round. Meanwhile, the "back 40" was seeded with a carefully selected native mix, creating an ultra-low-maintenance area teeming with ecological benefits.
